$30 Charcuterie Board
Happy Tip Tuesday friends! I don’t know about you but we have been spending a ton of time at home and wanted to share some of my favorite charcuterie board finds… on a budget! I have been limiting my shopping to Walmart {and occasionally Trader Joe’s} so I wanted to show you that you can create a great snack board for under $30 with just a few tips!
The charcuterie board below was all less than $30 and I did so by mixing different types of cheeses, meats and crackers but in the most economical way! Crackers can be really expensive but this huge box of crackers was only $3, such a steal! I have found that you get more cheese & crackers for the money if you slice them yourself and that’s what I did below. I love pickles & olives and for just a few dollars each you can add some yummy blue cheese olives and spicy pickles. I think the range of spices is nicely offset with cheese, nuts and sweet strawberries! Lastly, and my favorite tip, is add smoked salmon… I promise everyone will love it!
I know it sounds simple but I think that the easiest way to create a gorgeous charcuterie board is to first choose your board, add any needed bowls, fill them and then lay out your crackers before anything else.
Now that your crackers are in place, I cut up all of my cheeses and sausage so they are ready to place. I like to put my cheeses in the middle and meats on the outside to keep thing symmetrical. I think it’s fine for everything to touch except the salmon, I try to keep that away from the cheeses but the crackers are generally okay.
Lastly, add in the strawberries, fruit or any other sweets that you think will make your board complete!! I ordered all of these ingredients for my yummy charcuterie board to be picked up with my Walmart pickup order - it’s can’t get much easier than that! I would to see if you make a board of your own, I always need new ideas for my own!! Enjoy!
